First check the GAUGE voltage regulator, it lowers the battery/alternator to about 5 volt which is what the gauges work on. If none of the gauges work this is a likely problem. Disconnect the wires for the gauge voltage regulator, and put power to it, and ground, and check with a multi-meter..
