1 post · Joined 2005. #10 · Jul 29, 2005. I am a past Glock owner G17, G19, G27 all of which I have sold in the past year and replaced with a 9SC, Tactical, and standard XD9. Any weapon satisfaction depends on perception, felt recoil and ones ability to place rounds where you aimed them.

The G19 and G19X accept Glock 9mm double-stack magazines of similar design. The XD45 is right in between the 30 and 36 in terms of width. I was surprised when I put the XD next to the 36 and the 36 was just a touch thinner. Back to the 30 and XD, I personally like the XD a lot. For 9mm, Glock wins over XD, and in 45 XD wins over Glock.

The Glock 19 and XD9 are both fantastic guns. There is nothing wrong with a grip safety just ask the 1911 folks. I prefer the Glock 19 over the XD9 but again both are good weapons. If this gun is primarily for her then go with what she feels more comfortable with. Both guns will get the job done.
