Honda vtx 1300 oil change.

After reading several threads about oil, decided it was time to do an oil change myself. In the last 4 years of owning an Aero 750 and now a VTX 1300 I had been taking the bike in to the dealer per the maintenance schedule. Have done a bunch of mods from all the great posts on the cafe, but left the maintenance work to the shop.honda germany gives the service intervalls for the shadow and the x 1300 (no more available since 2006) with 12k km = 7.5 miles with normal oil!!! double with synthetic. That is by the book. I have a syringe (sp) to help get the oil back in there. After you have changed it a few times you will see not much comes out with spining the wheel either.
