OTOH, I've had superb results with the SG20 wads and virtually every 6-point Euro hull ...Cheddite, Kent, Rio, Aguila, PMC, etc., etc. Federal hulls include here, but not with viable powders...I do not load a lot of 20 ga. - 1 oz. loads these days, but those few I do, I use 22g of Blue Dot in a Rem hull with the SP-20 wad. There are a TON of huge payload wads in 20ga, 1oz or more lead. There have never been more. And there is data for them. You have to stop looking for old discontinued wads, and look at the nontox capable wads. All of these hold 1oz or more lead for 20ga. Lymans is telling you that there might be a particular powder and hull combo where some of those other wads MIGHT work for 1 ounce. Be aware that one of the weakest areas of most published reloading recipes is the fit of the wad.
