Covid, whatever. they proclaimed to open again at beginning of July. Its now end of August. I really wanted to buy some shocks, you know, spend a grand on two shocks. Just finished up riding 3500 miles on two short trips I took and and alls I can say is "the Ohlins are indeed a very nice ride". A friend of mine rode my bike to the store, he came back raving about the ride being so well planted to the rode. Legend REVO-A at $925 Pro-Action (non-remote) at $855 Ohlins HD159 at $950 I can find very little negative written about any of these 3 options. I literally think I could pull a name out of a hat and probably like the result. I've spoken with Jerry at Ohlins and George at Pro-Action. Both calls were useful, but I didn't come away with a decision.

I had Ohlins on my last 2 bikes, in fact I have them sitting in the box trying to decide whether to put them on my 17. Honestly, the factory shocks on the 17 seem pretty damn good. Personally I am going with ohlins, BUT if you have a dealer resonably close, and you believe is competent that speakes volumes. I'm up in the great white north so dealer support is lacking for pro action . That leaves me with (off the shelf) legends, or the world wide network support of ohlins.My preference is based totally on looks and with that I rank Pro-Action #1, Ohlins #2 and Legends #3. I like the finish of the Pro-Action shocks and they look more robust than the other two brands. I only rank Ohlins #2 because of the external reservoir.
